Opportunities for Participation is Mission Of Women's Recreational Shooting Association

After a good long while in this job, I've stopped being surprised when women take the initiative to create places for themselves in the world of guns-whether it's the shooting sports, personal protection strategies, the firearms industry or political activism.

But I am always impressed that so many different women choose to roll up their sleeves and make the road easier for the next group of women to come along.

Women have been shooting recreationally for a good long while, and, in fact, the shooting sports are one in which shoulder-to-shoulder competition with men is not at all unlikely-club matches around the country have men and women stepping to the line together.
